WILDE BICYCLE - 2027 Model Pre-OrderDescription
The Best Gravel Machine Imaginable for Modern Times
Jeff's very first prototype for WILDE was the Earthship, a titanium gravel model from the USA handmade line. Further refined from that, the **Heighliner** is the most modern gravel machine imaginable today, meticulously designed for riders to fully enjoy gravel riding.
It features super lightweight double-butted titanium tubing, full internal cable routing exclusively for electronic components, a T47 bottom bracket with UDH compatible dropouts, and tire clearance for 29x2.25".
Jeff himself said, "This might be the most fun bike I've ever ridden." From the moment you straddle it, you feel invincible, unstoppable on unpaved roads, and it advances smoothly as much as you push it. Jeff was actually skeptical about the trend of larger tires, but they offer incredible performance on unpaved roads and allow for high-speed riding on paved roads. While many gravel bikes are specializing too much in straight-line stability at the expense of cornering, this bike is nimble yet playful, making you want to ride it again and again.
Why titanium? The first bike WILDE ever made was the titanium Earthship, which became the blueprint for all subsequent WILDE gravel bikes. The ride quality of a high-end titanium frame is simply supreme, and it also achieves significant weight reduction. Similar to WILDE's other steel production models, the Heighliner is able to offer the excellent experience of a titanium frame to more riders by significantly reducing costs compared to US-made custom titanium models.
The name Heighliner comes from "DUNE." In the novel, the Heighliner is a large spaceship used by the Guild to transport people and goods, named for its ability to fold space and travel long distances. It is literally a bike that can advance quickly as if folding space.
